When we did a shout out for gadgets and accessories, we hadn’t quite anticipated how many different ‘accessories’ we’d receive for testing. We put a few self-tanning mitts through their paces, but this applicator stood out. Golden, in every way.

Clever, this – and a must for anyone who struggles to apply self-tanner to hard-to-reach areas, without a partner, mum or friend to do the honours. It’s a long strip of luxurious, velvety (and very pink) fabric; you add your self-tanner to the centre of the long mitt, loop the applicator handles over your hands, and buff till you’ve covered your back or other unreachable spots. And, Skinny Tan point out, it can be used to apply any self-tanner – or sun cream, come to that. Fully washable, too, for re-use time and again. It wasn’t a universal rave, but the testers who loved it, LOVED it…
