Q. I have recently been to a colour analyst who says that I am an ‘autumn’ and that I should be trying woody, musky perfumes.  What can you recommend or suggest I try?
A. We suggest that you first of all try our own all-time favourite fragrance, Guerlain’s Mitsouko – available only at Guerlain counters nationwide, so you can try before you buy (which you always should, with fragrance):  it’s an utterly delicious, ‘snuggly’ scent that we shift to when the clocks go back ourselves.  Perfumer Lyn Harris at Miller Harris, meanwhile, is especially good at woodsy, musky smells, we think;  you could check out Terre de Bois, or Feuilles de Tabac.  Happy hunting!
