Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: LUSH Halloween treats

Look, it could be worse. We could be writing about Christmas advent calendars – a lot of our colleagues are, but for us, it’s w-a-y too early, thank you very much.
However, after a joyous and smile-making afternoon discovering LUSH’s Halloween collection, we simply do have to share this. (And besides, we know small people who are already planning the theme of their costumes.)
As always with LUSH, everything is super-affordable and super-creative. Let’s start with the Alien Egg Farm, above: a wibbly wobbly shower jelly/soap, at the centre of which is… yup, an alien. It’s zestily (and very appearlingly) scented with lime peel and lychee.
On the Bath Bomb front (for which LUSH are of course globally renowned), there are some truly brilliant and almost pocket-money-priced options: Dracula Monster Head, Mad Scientist, Punkin Pumpkin, Ghostie (he’s seriously cute, and delivers rainbow-coloured, coconut-scented water!) and Witch-Monster Mash Head.
To be honest, what really fell for is the rather genius Countdown to Halloween – advent calendar-ISH, but you open it in the seven days (maybe nights?) running up to 31st October. Littler people in our lives are honestly going to SWOON when they see this; it was a bestseller last year, and we totally get why.
And what we would say is: if you think you don’t love LUSH… among the fruitier, funkier scents on offer, we always find some great and decidedly sophisticated blends, which sometimes come as a surprise to friends. Founder Mark Constantine honestly knows his scent stuff, and that filters down to the team.
Meanwhile, we can honestly recommend a mooch around LUSH (perhaps with a teen in tow), for clever creations that in some cases are tricks AND treats.
