Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: BOURJOIS Little Round Pot Blushers

We are doing a little dance. No, a great big dance! Because we have discovered one of the best powder blushers ever created, a multi-Beauty Bible Award-winner over the decades, is B-A-C-K.

A few years ago, it disappeared. MADNESS! But now it has returned to the UK to grace our cheeks in its unique, fabulous fashion. (Or at least, it’s back at Amazon, which we generally hate to point readers to, but… in this case, necessary. We somehow missed its fleeting reappearance at Superdrug, but hopefully, another high street retailer will see sense and return it to its rightful place on the shelves.)

The history bit: Bourjois’ Little Round Pot Blusher is actually one of the oldest and most enduring make-up products in the world, launched in 1881 as a compact, baked powder rouge in a tiny cardboard pot with a pretty floral lid. (We rather wish they’d bring that back, too.) It was born from the brand’s pioneering β€˜baked’ formula – water and fine pigments mixed, poured into moulds and oven‑baked– and then enhanced with a touch of shimmering mother‑of‑pearl, a process Bourjois has now been refining for over 150 years.

We love everything about this. The way it doesn’t crush and crumble in your bag. The soft rose scent. How it lasts, on skin, far better than many powder blushers we can name. (Something to do with that baking?) The shade that always played well with our readers was Rose de Jaspe, but Rose Frisson is a terrifically pretty pink. (NB The prices vary, but Amazon’s like that.)

AND IT’S UNDER A TENNER. As if there wasn’t already enough to love about BOURJOIS Little Round Pot Blusher, eh?
