Tip of the Day: 22.09.2016
One for the new intake of students (and any of us whose jobs require us to stay focused): it’s possible to eat your way to better concentration. If blood sugar dips between meals, this can slow down brain function and make it harder to concentrate. Keep brain power boosted by snacking regularly on combinations of foods that are high in both protein and carbs – for instance, apple quarters dipped in peanut butter (yum!), a large handful of almonds and raisins, or a few sunflower seeds sprinkled onto a pot of low-fat yoghurt.
