💖 Fab Find of the Week: @vivaia_official shoes 👟 We think we’ve found the comfiest shoes in the world. Independently of each other, Sarah and Jo have both discovered (thanks to Instagram) the brand VIVAIA – a worthy alternative to the FitFlops we’ve long been devoted to. And yes, shoes can most definitely be a beauty product. In a comfortable pair of shoes, you’ll want to walk – good for that ‘second heart’, as the legs are known. And you won’t wince or frown – neither of which is a pretty look. Between us, we’ve tried three styles so far. For Jo, the absolute winners are the black satin trainers, right – definitely dressed-up trainers, but so comfortable that she walked 14,000 steps in them with no tights on the first day – and not a hint of a whisper of a blister, either. They go by the name of Unisex Satin Luxe Sneakers (Allegro), and you can find them here. ‘The cushioning in the sole is off the scale,’ says Jo. ‘I can barely take them off.’ The price is £137 – not a snip, by any means, but the quality’s great. Fab Find of the Week: @chanelofficial Les 4 Ombres Bouton palettes 😍 You might not know that one of us is obsessed with buttons. Jo’s great-aunt owned a haberdasher’s and would let Jo play with all the myriad buttons, while idling in the shop. Before she died (at the magnificent age of 93), Jo’s Great Auntie Doris presented her with a waistcoat, covered in aforementioned buttons. ‘I didn’t want to die with a full button tin,’ was her explanation – and if that’s not a great metaphor for life itself, we’d like to know what is. Bottom line, then, is that these new CHANEL palettes were always going to push our buttons (sorry!), even more than usual. The smooth and silky shades – and if you’re familiar with CHANEL’s palettes, you’ll know how richly-pigmented these are, yet how smooth – have been embossed with a wide variety of designs taken from the designs for actual buttons use on garments. And the shades are truly wearable; probably the only one we’d skip right past is the purple (but that could be just us).
