You know there must be a sensitive skin ‘epidemic’ when Chanel create a cream targeted specifically at touchy complexions. (According to their own 16-year study, in fact, half of all women worldwide claim to have sensitive skin. A figure which definitely includes us, at least from time to time.) The make-up artists backstage at Chanel certainly have some experience with sensitive skins, having to make up faces which may have had cosmetics applied a dozen times in 24 hours, for top models.

So, in tandem with Dr. Amy Wechsler, a US-based, board-certified dermatologist and psychiatrist (one of only two to combine those disciplines), Chanel created this cream: a blend of just 10 ingredients (an incredibly short list for any product), rich in antioxidants and polyphenols – in particular a rare silver needle tea, known for its soothing action.

We’ve tried it and our face feels like it’s going ‘ahhhh’ (that’s not ‘aaaargh’!), instantly calmer and comforted. Try it on redness, rough areas – and supermodel skin.
