Illamasqua Halloween Beauty Box

This really is a bit of fun. We're not suggesting this 'look' for every day - but for anyone who's going Goth for 31st October (or who, like us, simply admires make-up creativity and artistry), we think this is actually rather beautiful. And here's the thing about Illamasqua: despite the daring visuals, the sometimes traffic-stopping shades and the fairly way-out appearance of some of their store consultants, this range is full of fantastic 'finds'. In the coming weeks we'll be sharing with you the best makeover Jo's ever had - courtesy of Illamasqua - which not only completely covered up the fact that she had the stinkiest cold EVER, but got more likes on Instagram than any other 'selfie' she's ever posted! (So watch this space.)

Meanwhile, this Halloween Beauty Box (from the Dead Vintage Collection) has gone on sale exclusively at Selfridges - and even if you don't fancy 'bat eyelashes' (there's probably a joke in there somewhere), there are some terrific products in there. For instance: the brilliant primer Hydra Veil, Powder Blusher in so-flattering Naked Rose, and an on-trend dark Glamore Lipstick (shade: Vampette). There's a Pure Pigment in Android, too - a sort of metallic smokey blue shadow that's really very flattering.
