Guerlain Météorites Highlighting Powder Pearls

When it comes to shimmer and gleam, our advice is often: 'Be Very Afraid'.

After a certain age, it can draw attention to lines and wrinkles and should be used judiciously: a touch on the brow-bone, a whisper on the centre of the eyelid (or the inner corner of the eye). None of us wants to resemble the fairy on top of the Christmas tree.

But a swoosh of shiimmer powder on any exposed limbs can be very fetching, if you are daring enough to bare skin. Guerlain Météorites Highlighting Powder Pearls are really primarily intended for faces, but look gorgeous dusted with your fluffiest, floooofiest brush onto forearms, shoulders, décolletage. (And the signature trick of the late Princess of Wales, to make her already long legs look even longer, was to add a sweep of shimmer to her shin-bones.)

We're crazy for Guerlain's entire Goldenland collection (read our review of the palette, here). And frankly we NEED something pretty and sparkly and Christmassy like this to get us in the party spirit, when the overwhelming urge is to stay home and bunker down under the duvet in our PJs.

A bit of a Christmas miracle, if you ask us.
