Fab Find of the Week: Self Glow by James Read travel sizes

We’ve already featured Self Glow by James Read as a Fab Find of the Week, back when it launched, here. But while enjoying a pleasurable mooch around the many displays of travel sizes and minis at the new Space NK Oxford Circus store (full review here), we discovered that our faves from the range now come in dear little travel sizes, small enough to be hand luggage-friendly, and more than enough to get you through a late summer sun break (and beyond), looking your sun-kissed best.
Self Glow by James Read Break of Dawn Nourishing Glow Mask. Our feelings for this have only become even warmer since it became part of our fight-the-pallor regime. As we wrote in that first review, ‘The most brilliant first-night-of-your-holiday product, this – or for when skin needs a gentle uptick in its glow factor. Smooth into skin – it’s nourishing, with kakadu plum, squalane, vitamin E, aloe vera (oh, and fermented mushrooms) – then 20 minutes later, rinse away with warm water. You’ll look like you had a day in the sun – nothing scare-the-horses, all so natural. (Remember to wash hands after use, NB.)
Self Glow By James Read Sunbright Tinted Tan Drops. The easiest-peasiest of all the products to use, delivering instant (but temporary) results, you simply add a customised drop or two to your night cream or daily SPF, and it warms up the complexion. Cleanses away easily at bedtime, though, so this is a great no-commitment tanner.
Self Glow by James Read Dusk to Dawn Overnight Facial. We’ve played with this in two dfferent ways: applying a couple of pea sized drops directly to face and neck and smoothing it carefully in (remember to go all the way to hair- and bra-line), or adding to our night-time facial serum. For us, even though this is enriched with hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and vitamin E, that second technique gives a bit more slip, but either way, the results are fab: a can’t-tell-it-from-real, slightly more tanned effect that’s so seamless, nobody will know you’ve cheated.
Of course, they’re also a good entry point price to make sure you love the products before springing for the full size when summer 2026 swings around, or to keep peekiness at bay till then.
As the wind rustles in the trees in a very autumnal way, outside, we’re already counting the days.
