If youβve been reading BeautyBible.com for a while, youβll remember that weβve been massive fans of GAIA Skincareβs sense-awakening creations since they first launched, some years ago. Created for the stunning spa at Plymouthβs Boringdon Hall, theyβre now much more widely available.
If youβre a more recent followerβ¦? Youβre in for a treat: this is a range that honestly never disappoints β if thatβs possible, weβre bigger fans than ever, as the range expands β so we were thrilled to discover GAIAβs recent launches, which weβre sharing with you here.
Awakening Candle/Β£25. GAIAβs Awakening blend is the very embodiment of a βspaβ scent, for us, with its notes of geranium and lemongrass, faithfully expressed in this all-natural soya and sustainably-sourced palm wax candle, infused with organic essential oils. The bamboo lid β a signature of GAIAβs packaging β keeps the wax clean (scented candles are a veritable magnet for dust). Weβre burning this in the office, where extra awakening is always welcome, but itβs also available as a Calming option, here (think: lavandin, vetiver, cinnamon, marjarom); Very reasonably-priced for a scented candle, too, considering the 200g candle has a burn time of 25-30 hours.
Awakening Cream Deodorant/Β£20 for 50g. Same scent as above β a wonderful wake-up call for the senses, in the morning, and gentle on skin.
Gaia Strengthening Pulse Point/Β£15 for 15ml. We were particularly enjoying this in recent weeks as winter dragged on f-o-r-e-v-e-r: a supportive blend of ginger, black pepper, bergamot, grapefruit, rosemary and ylang ylang essential oils, designed to enhance focus and reduce stress. The bamboo rollerball is truly cute and handbag-friendly β frankly, a lot more tacticle and pleasing to the senses than most.
Naturally Eye Cream/Β£35 for 20g. The newest addition to GAIAβs core skincare line-up, a cooling, hydrating and soothing-feeling cream that is specifically designed to reduce skin inflammation. Coconut oil, jojoba oil and rosewater feature: itβs light yet rich, and just lovely. Too soon to report on long-term benefits, but short-term? Nicely de-puffing.
Incidentally, weβre not surprised that GAIAβs range is now being used for treatments across an increasingly wide network of spas, aside from their own. Weβd certainly be swayed to book a treatment by seeing Gaiaβs facials and body treatments on the menu β pretty much anywhere. For locations, simply click here.
