Fab Find of the Week: Yardley x Look Good Feel Better Vibrant Peony

We recently had a lovely deep-dive into everything that’s going on at the Yardley brand – including a swoon over some of their vintage advertising – at a press showcase. There’s some lovely stuff coming, but this caught our eye immediately: a collaboration with one of the beauty world’s most heart-warming charities, which we have ourselves supported for several decades.

Look Good Feel Better works with the beauty industry to offer makeovers and other kinds of support to women affected by cancer. We’ve seen it in action: patients at various stages of treatment, self-confidence eroded, walking through the doors… and walking out again, heads held high, feeling so much better about the world, life, themselves. For more information about the charity, click here.

£1 from the sale of each Vibrant Peony fragrance will go to Look Good Feel Better (and they aim to raise at least £20,000). The fragrance itself? A bit of a crowd-pleaser, actually, with a bouquet of rose, peony and jasmine at the heart, introduced by fruity notes of apple, pear and peach, and with a cloud of musks alongside cedarwood softly emerging, as it warms on skin. The bottle feels great, too: faceted and weighty and altogether belying the price.

It would be an especially lovely gift for anyone you know who’s going through (or emerged from) cancer treatment, we think, with a little extra feel-good factor over and above the uplift delivered by what is a very pretty and wearable scent itself.
