ESPA Modern Alchemy The Grounding Crystals

I don’t think there’s anyone who know who doesn’t want to feel a bit more grounded right now. Events of the recent months have had us living in our heads – and they’ve been spinning half the time, with the constant changes of guidelines, health stats, dos and don’ts generally.

We have found it very helpful simply not to watch the news. End of. Not even to look at online news sites. A friend visited Jo on the weekend and asked, after she’d seen her reading the Sunday paper: ‘What’s happening?’, to which Jo replied: ‘On a global level, I don’t know. To be honest, I’ve spent more time looking at the summer salad recipes, because there’s nothing I can do about the virus or the financial situation in the world, but I can make a delicious halloumi salad.’

Beyond that, we’ve been looking for earthing, grounding products and this – from ESPA’s new Modern Alchemy Collection – really ticks that box. It’s a hefty jar of salt soak, in which the mineral-rich pink crystals (Himalayan and Epsom salts) have been infused with a divine blend of ylang ylang, vetiver and ginger essential oils. It is deeply comforting for tired muscles, but at the same time, really invokes a sense of earthedness and calm, as you breathe the fragrant waters.

 We’ve often felt in the past few months that we’d like to lock the bathroom door and shut out the world. This is a very good excuse to do just that, for at least 20 blissful, rebalancing minutes.
