Beauty Clinic: I want to box clever!
Q. Last year you put together a Beauty Bible box with trial-sized products that feature in the Award Winners from The Anti-Ageing Beauty Bible. This was a perfect stocking filler for my product junkie mum; I got one for myself too and it was a perfect introduction to some great products. Any plans for another before Xmas? A. The good news: we're looking at doing a new box next year. The less-good news: that box is now sold out so we can't offer you a 'BB' option. However, the box was put together by Latest in Beauty, which is our 'go-to' company for beauty boxes.
They're offering a couple of options, right now, which we can recommend. First of all, Latest in Beauty has just worked with YOU Magazine to put together the fabuloso YOU Beauty Advent Calendar 2013. It's £49.95 (plus £4.95 postage and packing), but the contents are worth £240 and contain treats such as a full-size Steam Cream, Aromatherapy Associates Inner Strength Bath & Shower Oil (enough for one blissful bath), Caudalie Limited Edition Hand Cream, and - well, 24 goodies in all, in useful trial, introductory (or sometimes full) sizes. We have given these, pre-advent, to some over-the-moon friends and colleagues. But we're giving a few as bumper gifts at Christmas, too. Your Mum could get herself in a real frenzy opening all 24 doors at once!
Another option would be to sign your mum up to the YOU Beauty Discovery Club, which is £6.95 per month (including P&P). She can choose two products per month (selected via the website), and will receive some other 'extra treats' in her monthly package.
The last option is our lovely friend Alex Steinherr's Glamour Beauty Edit box for LIB, which is also amazing. (Alex has her finger on the pulse of every new launch, every must-have: she's truly worth following.) The box - priced just £14.95 - contains Eyeko Eyelash Curlers, a Toni & Guy Firm Hold Hairspray (75 ml), Maybelline Baby Lips (Alex was raving about this balm long before it was on anyone else's radar), Philip Kingsley One More Day Dry Shampoo, a travel size of Balance Me Radiance Face Oil, and an HD Brows Eye & Brow Palette. Contents worth £65, as you might imagine from that list.
