If you’re snuffling and a hayfever sufferer (as Sarah is…eeek!) , you might have guessed that, despite the frosts, the hayfever season has already started.

The culprit now is tree pollen, which starts to come into season around February and ends late June, according to Allergy UK. Most sufferers are allergic to grass pollen, however, which is usually worst between May and July.

These little pots of certified organic balm can help by creating a barrier to help trap the pollen before it gets into your nose. Research shows that HayMax, which is approved by AllergyUK, may trap more than 1/3 of pollen as well as dust, pet hair and other indoor allergens. Most people get some relief and some don't suffer at all when they use HayMax.

HayMax now comes in five varieties. HayMax Pure and new HayMax Kids just contain organic beeswax and organic seed oils. The Aloe Vera, Lavender and Frankincense versions have the same base with the added organic ingredient.

The ‘Max’ bit comes from the founder, by the way. Max Wiseberg, a long term hayfever sufferer, first cooked up the balm in his own kitchen. Other sufferers found it worked too and in 2004 HayMax launched and has won over 40 awards.
