Ilāpothecary SOS Body Balm

We’ve already raved about Ilāpothecary’s mood-shifting discoveries (as you can read here).

Somehow, this treasure from Denise Leicester’s range hadn’t made it onto our radar – but better late than never.

A skin-calming blend of anti-inflammatory oils, SOS Body Balm features arnica (for bruised souls as well as sprains and injuries, according to Ilāpothecary’s Denise), along with anti-inflammatory blue chamomile – ‘to ease inflamed thoughts and allow space to simply be’. (It’s also said to dispel the fear of letting go – something many of us suffer from.)

The texture is skin-meltingly soft – it goes on like a balm and rapidly becomes more oil-like, in texture. And oh, it smells just wonderful – rose, softened by comforting, cocooning vanilla, making for a fantastic pre-bedtime salve after a stressful day.

SOS Body Balm is most definitely super-hydrating and nourishing for dry skins. As well as using it successfully to treat a stubborn patch of itchy skin, Jo’s been using it on her feet (which are of course highly absorbent).

Balm for weary soles – and balm for weary souls.

Can’t ask for more than that in a beauty treat, can you…?
