Ruby Hammer Face Brush

The lovely make-up artist Ruby Hammer has added to her carefully-curated capsule collection of make-up tools with this very useful brush.

Now, the received wisdom for applying powder, for instance, is to use a mahoosive, fluffy brush – but this is way better. When you use a big brush, there’s no option for precision. And when it comes to defying shine, you really want to target the T-zone - especially nose and between the brows – rather than dusting it all over, which (even with some fo the lovely light-reflecting face powders around) can make the face look flat.

As well as allowing for precision application of powder, this is great for blusher and bronzer, though - we’ve been playing. (Blusher DEFINITELY needed right now.) The soft bristles create a totally smooth and seamless effect.

It comes in a little velvet pouch in ‘Ruby red’ (as it were), for carrying in your handbag for touch-ups.

All in all, a little treasure.
