Guerlain Abeille Royale Cleansing Oil

Guerlain is the latest name to unveil a cleansing oil – and we really are loving this. One of the reasons we're keen on cleansing oils generally is that they give such a brilliant opportunity to massage the face really thoroughly, under the guise of removing make-up.

Infused with Guerlain's signature royal jelly, sourced from their eco-project on the island of Ouessant, this is amazing for melting make-up, gunk and grime. It works up into a milky emulsion that you can swish away or remove with a muslin cloth, as we like to do. (We even got along fine using it on eyes.) Skin's left clean but  not tight, as the formula helps keep both the skin's pH and its moisture levels in balance.

Our tip, always, is to use both hands to apply the product, working in an upwards direction – and on the neck and décolletage, switch hands so that your right hand is working on your left side, and vice versa; this ensures that both sides get equal attention; many of us have a tendency to use our dominant hand for applying beauty products, which makes for uneven application.

You might want to keep massaging for some time, such is the pleasure factor of this oil – and your (beautifully cleansed, radiant) skin will truly thank you for it.
