Antipodes Halo Skin Brightening Mud Mask

We’re not always fans of mud masks. We know they’re a big thing, but we’ve had some really dodgy experiences – burning, redness and general feeling of skin-too-tight-for-face-ness, with some of the super-active ones.

But of course, as longstanding fans of all-natural brand (and multi-Beauty Bible Award-winner) Antipodes, we were going to try this – and are so glad we slathered the grey-green gloop on our faces. On dull-skinned mornings, it’s a new go-to.

Skin-brightening botanicals include peony (to target uneven skintone), antioxidant grape and kiwi – all swirled into geothermal New Zealand mud. (NZ is where Antipodes is based.)

Yes, it sets tight – but actually, we’ve found a way round that by adding several drops of facial oil to the mud mix, which makes it feel more comfy. And besides, what’s a few minutes of tight face, for skin that looks like it’s had a good night’s sleep when it really, really hasn’t?
