This Works In Transit Skin Defence SPF30
Since the sun's had his hat on much more than he did last summer, this fantastic facial sunscreen (with a broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF30) has really come into its own. We like to take long walks (and rides, in Sarah's case), and it's ludicrously easy to get too much sun. This shields skin perfectly: non-chalky, easily smoothed into skin, and perfectly moisturising: not-too-matte, not-too-shiny.
It's especially good for the so-vulnerable décolletage, we find - an important area to protect, as age spots (which are really sun spots) show up there early, if unprotected. Apply before getting dressed, so that you smooth it into the whole chest, neck (and the bits of shoulders that may be exposed); if you wait till you've got your clothes on, it's easy to miss bits because you don't want to smear it on your clothes.
It's a chemical sunscreen in a formulation boosted by lots of skin-nurturing natural ingredients (including hyaluronic acid and cocoa butter), and we like it because it really is a put-it-on-and-forget-about-it product.
Which means no more red bits, post-ride or post-walk. (We're not sure that's what 'in transit' means, in the name, but it covers it, for us.)
