Suqqu Creamy Glow Moist Lipstick

This calls itself a lipstick, but actually has the blissful texture of a balm. Perfect, then, for lips that have had every last atom of moisture sucked out of them over the last few centrally-heated months, and are in need of TLC.

It's from a Japanese range pronounced 'soo-koo' (not, um 'suck-you' as we were mistakenly saying when it first launched), which is only available at Selfridges here but is a hit with us, and our beauty editor mates.  (Despite the fiendish outer packaging which is almost impossible to read.)

Suqqu Creamy Glow Moist Lipstick is sheer, softening - but what's impressive is that (unlike most balms) the colour does actually stay put.

Colours are all wearable, with our favourites being 04 (nude-y), and 06 (cherry-y, if that's a word), which gives a just-bitten lip look.

Sheer bliss for lips - in every way.
