Puressential Purifying Air Spray

Jo's on a bit of an 'if-it's-Wednesday-it-must-be-Leeds' round-Britain tour at the moment - and conscious of needing to stay cold-free and on form, she's been blitzing hotel rooms with this. It's a brilliant blend of 41 essential oils, with anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties - and is apparently the No. 1 top-selling aromatherapy product in France. Think: dill, sweet basil, bay, English lavender, petitgrain, Scotch pine, sage, rosemary, thyme and wintergreen - and all those others...

It definitely smells very 'clean' and refreshing, while staying just this side of hospital-y. Basically, she sprays it into the air in hotel rooms - because (without wanting to come over all Howard Hughes) you just never know who might have been coughing and spluttering into the upholstery, previously. It has a very clever diffuser, which really zooshes quite a distance - so only a few spritzes for a normal hotel room are required.

Her other tip? Travelling with her own pillow. 'Might sound paranoid, but I don't want to be that close to a pillow someone else has been sneezing into,' she says. (Or dribbling, come to that!) 'It's a little bit of home, on tour...'
