Oskia Super 16 Pro Collagen Super Serum
Oh, this is sooooo lovely to use. Roses, roses all the way, scent-wise - Jo's kind of addicted to the smell, which is always a good thing in a treatment, because it encourages diligence of use. Although not the cheapest range out there, OSKIA is much-loved by Beauty Bible testers, over the years - and while we haven't yet put this through our paces with the usual panel of 10, it's got a definite thumbs-up from Jo, who's been using it for a month or so. 'I'd run out of my usual serum and this landed on my desk - so I decided to give it a go. And I'm really hooked: it has a definite "plumping" action, and when I look in the mirror, I really think it's helping to firm my skin.'
The science bit - or perhaps more accurately the botanical bit, since this advanced formula is plant-packed - is as follows. The name comes from at 'super nutrients and bio-actives', with the formulation designed to lift, firm and fight fine lines. In particular, it features bakuchiol (new to us, too), derived from an Indian seed which has been used for centuries to heal cuts. Other key ingredients include vitamin A palmitate, hyaluronic acid (yes, yes!), vitamins C and E, crithmum seaweed extract (apparently it's detoxifying), and a cactus extract rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 and C.
But hey, who really cares? To us, it's really the feel, scent and texture - and how our skin looks in the mirror - which matters to us. And Jo can think of at least 16 reasons to stick with this serum, from here on in.
