Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield SPF30

We’ve been searching for something as effective as Tri-Aktiline for ‘blurring’ lines since it was discontinued in the UK. We’ve found it. And then some… This is completely different, though. Where Tri-Aktiline could be patted into fine lines rendering them almost invisible, this is an all-over, completely clear, velvetifying primer which also packs an SPF30 punch.

It makes a great base for make-up – the finish is super-soft – but it’s the sun protection/line-blurring combo which has us hooked.

Slightly strange dispenser (we accidentally pulled the top off before we realised that’s what you press to dispense the line-smoothing powdery-gel-like product itself).

Skin-friendly ingredients include shitake mushroom and ‘mucor Miehel peptides’ (no, we don’t know either), a ‘soft focus complex’ (we get that bit), barley, sunflower and cucumber extracts, antioxidants, and that invisible sunscreen (which is waterless). It's also non-comedogenic, so it won’t block pores – yet at the same time, it makes them much less visible.

We are very, very impressed.
