M&S Downton Abbey Collection

Don't care what the critics say: we're still delighted to have Downton back in our Sunday evenings. It's as much a part of autumn as leaves turning golden and crisper mornings, for us. Last year's Downton Abbey collection has some new additions for 2014, which we think would make a terrific gift for any Downton-lover (and, er, that includes the Beauty Bible team.) We're already fans of the Downton Abbey Bath Elixir, with its decanter-style bottle. But of the new additions to the collection, we especially like the Downton Abbey Hand Cream Collection - three handbag-sized tubes of an excellent nourisher - and the cute (sorry to use the word but it just is) Teacup Candle.

The fragrance for all the products is as pretty as Lady Rose, subtly scented with freesia and touches of mandarin.

So we recommend a Downton Bath (ideally run by your manservant), followed by hot chocolate and a 9 p.m. date with Lord Grantham.

(Though personally, we do now have to keep our eyes closed during the Kindle 'sponsorship' ad. at the beginning - because we don't want to be reminded that it's not real life...)
