Little Ondine Nail Polish

Jo got this in a major haul of beauty products she’s been trialling for the Women’s Health Beauty Awards (we’ll share results with you in due course). ‘Reimagining nail polish’ was the slogan promise – and she’ll admit her first thought was ‘yeah, right’. But it’s true, it’s true!

First off, it’s water-based (yes, water-based) – with absolutely no nasties whatsoever.

Secondly, all the shades Jo was sent – from a fab deep wine through to sparkly gold – looked great, and were incredibly easy to apply, delivering all the shine of a conventional polish, but with no need for top coat or base coat. (The colours go from neon brights through to classic nudes, NB.)

Fourthly, it’s incredibly easy to apply: glides on like a dream. A 5-year-old could do it (and because it’s so non-toxic, you won’t mind if yours does).

Fifthly and perhaps most extraordinarily, this polish doesn’t need remover – it peels off as and when you want! (But not before: Jo was worried the edges might start lifting – and they don’t.) So: no more toxic fumes from nail polish remover, which is a real bonus in our book.

The only downside is that the temptation’s there – when you’re bored – to start peeling it off yourself, before you really should (or need to). But really, that’s teeny in the grand scheme of the brilliance of Little Ondine.
