Lipstick Queen Dancing Queen

Poppy King is entirely entitled to call herself 'The Lipstick Queen'. As a baby entrepreneur, she launched her own collection of lipsticks, then went to work for the late-lamented Prescriptives (one of the reasons they sunk without trace, in our opinion, being that they didn't listen to enough of her suggestions) - before resurfacing with her own, fah-bu-lous Lipstick Queen collection.

Before we launch into raptures about this trio, a teaser:  Poppy will be sharing her best-ever lip secrets in an upcoming post, on  But for now, it's Dancing Queen that has us excited, because of the entirely revolutionary finish Poppy invented for this trio.

How can a matte-finish sheer lipstick have a shimmer to it...?  Not quite sure.  But this does.  Super-slouchy on the lips (that'll be the comforting, moisturising base of shea butter and jojoba oil), they tint lips with three shades named after dances:  a nude-y pink (The Hustle), Electric Slide (a bright rose) and (Jo's favourite), burgundy-red Cha Cha, which actually gives lips an ever-so-slightly glimmery bitten-lip look.

Party-tastic, for sure, but if you're over 40, still subtle enough that nobody's going to point, stare and accuse you of nicking your daughter's make-up.

Simply tango down to SpaceNK to get your hands - or rather, your lips - on them.

PS  Goes without saying:  they'd make a fab gift for any lipstick queen (no capitals allowed for anyone but Poppy) in your life...
