Balmain Paris Hair Couture

Balmain.  We know them for fashion.  We love them for fragrance.  But haircare?  Who knew...? If those beauty sleuths Millie Kendall and Anna-Marie Solowij at BeautyMART have their way we'll all soon be familiar this range.

Called 'Couture Hair', it seriously lives up to its name:  as used by überhairdressers like Sam McKnight backstage, it's a favourite for catwalk hairdos.  But it also helps create fabulous, shiny styles for those of us who get out of bed for considerably less than $10,000 a day.  (Prices aren't bad compared to a lot of 'designer' haircare.)

[New post] The Definitive Guide to the Perfume Bloggers’ CatsThere are a couple of hairsprays (medium or strong hold), a Texturizing Salt Spray (great for scrunched beach-y summer hair looks), Volume Mousse (with strong hold) - but perhaps unsurprisingly the 'hero' product is a hair fragrance:  a sexy floral-fruity Silk Perfume which wafts wonderfully whenever you swish, and 'clings' beautifully.

In our opinion, the whole range is simply merveilleux.  It may be a while before Balmain is a household hair name - but we're already enraptured, chez nous...
