Dr. Organic Dead Sea Mineral Bio-Plasma Mud Mask

Need a fast face wake-up? This is our latest find from Dr. Organic, a range which has impressed our testers (and us) since it first launched - very affordably - into Holland & Barrett. Several of the products have made it into The Ultimate Natural Beauty Bible, and we've a hunch our testers will be back with positive comments for this, too - one of their more recent launches. Though it's a mud mask (based on kaolin and Dead Sea muds), it doesn't set hard. (Hate that, don't you? Only really oily-skinned women seem to enjoy that feeling.)

What it does do - definitely - is brighten tired-looking skin. It seems to have a circulation-revving effect, delivering fast-track radiance. (It's a wee bit tingly, actually - but not in an irritating way, and we didn't have any problems, with our notoriously touchy skins.) It's packed with sea minerals, but doesn't smell too rock-pool-y;  instead, you'll get hints of mandarin, thyme, wild mint and spearmint, so it's more aromatic than the slightly sludge-y name suggests.

(The science bit: 'bio-plasma' in the title is actually arginine, which is an amino acid.) It's targeted at mature skins, but we think it would also work well for problem complexions.

Working to revive a tired face in just 10 minutes, it's one of the treasures of the deep, actually - especially at a price like this.
