Amy Loves... December

Amy Loves… some no-nonsense haircare, festive red lips and nails, a reviving bath treat to get party-ready and a brilliant body butter...

Dior Grand Bal Collection

Christmas calls for red lips and nails, in my book anyway.  My loves this festive season come from the unbelievably beautiful Dior Grand Bal collection (do have a peek at the rest of the collection:  the palette in particular is stunning), Diorific Nail Polish and Lipstick both in the shade, Marilyn. The raspberry-red shade of lipstick is super hydrating as well as extra long-lasting and the glamorous gold bullet oozes luxury.  (So it would make the ultimate stocking filler, if you could bear to give it away - I can’t!) The polish is a gorgeously shiny classic red that makes my nails as pretty as Christmas baubles and the little pot it lives in is lovely enough to hang on your tree, too!

Evo Haircare

In my quest to have long, luscious locks I have naughtily been putting off having a trim for…lets just say for a l-o-n-g time, resulting in awfully dry, split ends and general dullness. I reached for evo, an Australian salon brand that don’t contain any nasties. The Calm range is the one for me, I use the The Therapist Calming Shampoo, The Therapist Calming Conditioner and The Great Hydrator Moisture Mask, to replenish some much needed moisture and shine. And they work. They really do. The mask is the hero for me, instantly softening and repairing. I’m all booked in for my hair cut now but evo is staying in my bathroom.

Darphin Firming and Nourishing Velvet Cream

I was feeling a bit sad when I found out that one of my favourite body moisturisers from Darphin (the Lipid Replenishing Soothing Balm) had been discontinued but did a little jig when I fell in love with its replacement: the Firming and Nourishing Velvet Cream. A superbly moisturising, shea butter packed body cream that instantly sinks straight in and leaves no trace, apart from healing and plumping my central-heating ravaged skin. I can’t vouch for it’s firming properties but if you’re looking for something to treat parched limbs this winter, then this is my best recommendation.

Weleda Citrus Refreshing Bath Milk

Shhh… this is the secret key to my pre-night out routine:  a wonderfully refreshing bath milk full of lemons (and reminds me of sherbet) that revitalises body and mind after a blissful 20-minute soak.  Add a couple of capfuls to a steaming hot tub, slap on a face mask (the Liz Earle Brightening Mask is my fabulous pre-party pick me up, taking only 3 minutes to work its magic) and you’ll be ready for anything.
