We have 10 boxes of Beauty Complex collagen supplements to give away – that’s a 21-day supply, each box worth £39.95.

Confession time: here at Beauty Bible we’ve been non-committal and skeptical, and – on a bad day reading a hyped-up, scientifically inaccurate press release – positively cynical about collagen supplements. But with Beauty Complex by Revive Active, Sarah has literally had to eat her words.

The shift happened as a result of talking to London-based dermatologist Dr. Anita Sturnham, who takes herself and is recommending it to her patients. So - Sarah started taking the daily sachet of pleasant-tasting naturally flavoured powder in the morning, usually with yogurt and blueberries. (Dr. Sturnham sprinkles hers in a banana smoothie.)

To Sarah’s delight and amazement, she actually did see results within about 14 days, which have continued as she goes on taking the product. Let’s be clear: we’re not talking a facelift here – these are nutrients not a knife. But a bit more tone, lift and bloom, slightly more even-ness of texture and colour, and overall just a better more rejuvenated complexion. Maybe a 10-15% improvement, which is entirely welcome.

Beauty Complex contains a mix of anti-ageing nutrients: marine collagen, hyaluronic acid and phytoceramides with vitamins C and E, plus minerals copper and selenium. Other cynics have decried the possibility of collagen supplements working, let alone targeting the complexion, because they say it would be digested and broken down before it entered the bloodstream.  But, as Sarah learnt some time ago when researching the topic, it doesn't work like that.

The thinking is that after the molecule is broken down, the fragments are absorbed into the bloodstream and distributed through the entire body, including the skin, where small fragments remain for up to 14 days. Then comes the interesting bit: your body is essentially tricked into thinking that these fragments indicate collagen breakdown – as would happen with a big tissue injury, for instance – and repair is urgently needed. So it stimulates fibroblasts to produce more collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid – the compounds that give our skin its youthful qualities.

This is not a quick-fix solution but – so far – it is proving worthwhile. We're delighted to offer ten readers the chance to try a 21-day supply of Beauty Complex.  So do fill in the simple form below; remember you can’t win if you don't enter!

If you can't wait to try the product, find it online at and in selected pharmacies.
