Meanwhile, for what we’re loving right now, read on.
Moroccanoil Treatment, £29.85 for 100 ml – but you take 10% of that. (NB Boy, does the bottle go a long way.) This is a bit of a hair industry sensation, right now: an unctuous, intensive treatment which works miracles on frizzy hair, and to create instant shine. The range is based on argan oil (the name reflects its origins from a shrub grown around Essaouira in Morocco – the women there all use it for hair and skin). But if an oil-based product is just too scary for you (you only need a smidgen for the product to work its smoothing, protective magic), then check out super-intensive Moroccanoil Restore Mask, £29.95 for 250 ml, for shiny, bouncy hair. (As always, your discount applies.)
Nars Orgasm Illuminator, £21 (less your discount). The original Nars Orgasm blusher is a beauty legend – and there’s a big beauty buzz about this complexion enhancer, whch goes under make-up to transform lacklustre skin and deliver a dewy, luminous finish. It’s sort of a primer – but it might prove so complexion-transforming that you it’s actually all you need for instantly gorgeous skin.
Ciaté Perfect Paint Polish Pen, £8.70 (or just £7.83 to you). Oh, just genius: when you’re applying polish under pressure (taxi waiting outside, boyfriend tapping his feet, late for work), mistakes tend to happen – but with its pen tip, this tidies up mistakes and smudges in a flash, for a more professional finish.
Philosophy Baby Grace Spray, £32 for 59.2 ml (£28.80 to you if you add the code BBHQ10 at checkout). This is always touted as a fragrance for women who love the smell of babies (who doesn’t?) but actually, it’s a perfect choice for teenagers or would-be fragrance-lovers who find richer, complicated, more exotic scents overwhelming. Light, sweet, soft, clean – and sooooo pretty.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, £11 (take 10% off that, as one of our insiders). We are constantly being asked by women how to make their eyeshadow stay put for longer, and our response includes a recommendation for this: a nude-coloured eyelid primer which also evens out the red/shadow-y tones that lids are prone to. Really does help shadow (cream or powder) to go the distance.
Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel, £26 for 50 ml (take £2.60 off that, with the the code BBHQ10 at checkout). In general, we are not big fans of peels – most are based on AHA acids. But fruit enzymes, by contrast, are much gentler – papaya and pineapple (which also features in this) help brighten skin without irritation; this also features repairing, moisturizing marine algae and vitamin E. After the longest, gloomiest, coldest and most dismal winter ever, this is an excellent face-waker now the days are getting longer and we have rediscovered the will to live. An old favourite of ours, and still excellent.
