Victoria Health (VH to its many fans) has without doubt the best range of cutting-edge supplements and natural remedies, sourced from all over the world, and a hugely efficient mail order service. The website is really easy to navigate, with great sections for Beauty and Organics, which is why we’re delighted to include VH among our hand-picked ‘approved’ websites.

You’re entitled to a 5% discount on everything that you buy at VH, with free postage, too. (Definitely worth taking advantage of.) And each edition, we bring you one extra-special offer - see below…
NB When you place an order with VH, your discount won’t show up on the invoice at the checkout, but – rest assured! - it will magically be actioned and your 5% will be taken off the total you pay, which will show up on the receipt you get. (It’s a technical thing which we can’t quite get our heads round, but trust us: it works…)
SPECIAL SPECIAL OFFER!
NOW, this month we have something fab for you Beauty Bible ‘insiders’.
You know when you try something that’s perfect and you almost can’t say why? Well, that’s the case with Valerie Beverly Hills Spotlight Lip Gloss – a nearly-but-not-quite-neutral, lip-plumping gloss from the make-up queen of Los Angeles, which somehow just takes the meringue for creating luscious lips. And because it’s what every girl needs to slick on right now, you can buy it for a fantastic 20% discount, post free, from the Victoria Health website. The usual price is £15 but to you – just £12, until August 31st 2008. So clickhere NOW!
PS Ssssssshhh! Come the autumn, the new range of Valerie make-up hits Victoria Health – and as the only
woman in Britain - apart from Gill Sinclair at VH - to have the complete set of divine colourways (think smoky eyes, sexy lips), Sarah can tell you this is pretty hot news!
BEAUTY BIBLE SPRING & SUMMER COLLECTION:
Each item is available separately at the price listed below (remember you get free postage online) or for an exclusive discount price of £55 (saving 12%). Just click here to be whisked through to Victoria Health.
Sibergin, £13.40 for 30 capsules: we discovered this extraordinary energiser when we were nearly exhausted writing The Green Beauty Bible. It contains Siberian Ginseng, which stimulates the adrenal glands to produce enzymes which give you more energy. It also helps you
deal with stress factors of all kinds – physical, mental and environmental. You won’t go into rocket mode – but, if you’re like us, you will find you can do what you need without getting exhausted. It’s also brilliant if you’ve been ill, particularly with an infection of any kind.
Sun Chlorella, £19.95 for 300 tablets: this ‘green food’ produced in Japan is a very ancient – over five billions years old - algae (like seaweed and spirulina), which contains a range of vital nutrients our bodies need. As well as helping energy levels, it helps upset tummies (with irritable bowel syndrome symptoms), and in Sarah’s experience improves skin condition, as well as hair and nails, quite remarkably. In fact, it also seems to give you a mini facelift: one practitioner of Chinese medicine says this may be through its stomach-calming action as the stomach meridians run down either side of your face and from under your eyes to your jawline. Start at 15 tiny green
tablets a day, then build up to 40. PS two nutritionists we know recommend chlorella for patients going through chemotherapy.
Ultimate Beauty Oil, £8.95 for 200ml: this oil, which you take orally (rather than putting on your skin, though you could probably do that too), is stuffed full of essential fatty acids, which we all need to look and feel good. A small survey of people with rosacea showed that some found significant benefits by taking this – and, of course, it certainly can’t hurt anyone in any way.
Turbo Balm, £10 for 10g: this blend of cocoa butter, monoi and rose oils (from This Works, the skincare company started by our friend Kathy Phillips, formerly Beauty Director of Vogue) works brilliantly on lips, cuticles, elbows, heels – and any other bit of dry skin anywhere on your body! Sarah swears by dabbing it on feet and hands when they are looking scuzzy. Like all This Works products, Turbo Balm is a truly natural product, with no mineral oils, synthetic fragrances or colours, GM ingredients, sulphates, parabens or DEA.
Foot File by Alida Beauty products, £9.95: yes, we know it looks like an elegant cheese grater but this is truly the best foot file in the world, ever! There’s a coarser side for taking off hard and dead skin and a finer one for smoothing. The pale green, non-slip handle gives a really good grip and the overall shape means you can reach every bit of your feet easily. Everyone who tries it is converted. (After all, who doesn’t want smooth soft feet with no hassle?)
FEEL FAB FOREVER CLASSIC COLLECTION:
Each item is available separately at the prices below, or buy the whole collection worth £72.09 for an exclusive price of £63.50 (a discount of 12%). Remember you get free postage from Victoria Health if you order online. Just click here to be whisked through to Victoria Health.
Meno-Herbs 2, £17.95 for 90 tablets: Tried and trusted natural HRT stuffed with plant oestrogens plus a heart-protecting compound. We take it and so do most of our friends. We swear by it.
GliSODin, £24.99 for 30 capsules: We loved AgeLoss but we think this formula is even more effective. The ‘SOD’ bit stands for ‘SuperOxide Dismutase’, a very clever bit of biochemistry that primes the body to produce its own powerful primary antioxidants (SOD, catalase and glutathione peroxidase), which are completely vital for health, disease-fighting and anti-ageing.
Essential Oil Formula, £15.95 for 90 capsules: Essential Fatty Acids are, as the name implies, essential for every part of your body from brain and hormones, to hair and skin. Our bodies can’t make them so you need to get them from your diet – and even if you are eating the best diet in the world, chances are that you aren’t getting enough. We take three to four capsules daily (more if we’ve had a virus as these help persuade those pesky things to leave our bodies).
Skin, Hair & Nails Herbal Tonic, £3.95 for 60 ml: this combination from Fushi, a company we like a lot, contains horsetail (which has the trace element silica), circulation-enhancing trikiatu, red clover, artichoke leaf and burdock root, to act together to help nourish skin, hair and nails.
Women’s Balance flower remedy by Light Heart Essences, £9.25 for 30ml: we have always been devotees of flower remedies, which use the vibrational energy of flowers to subtly tweak emotional ailments. (They are now used by doctors and in hospitals worldwide.) Women’s Balance, which is formulated by the wonderful Rose Titchener, was recommended to us by a consultant gynaecologist who suggests his menopausal patients combine it with Meno-Herbs 2. It so does what it says on the bottle!
