CULT BRANDS, HIGH-TECH SKINCARE, GREAT MAKE-UP LINES - ALL WITH 10% OFF FOR YOU, AT BEAUTY EXPERT.
From Elemis to Caudalie, Molton Brown to Korres, Paul Labrecque to Toni & Guy, Nude to Cowshed - getting on for 100 brands in all - at this ‘approved’ website…
The sites we ‘approve’ at Beauty Bible offer great service, a terrific selection - and they never buy from the ‘grey’ market, so you won’t find out-of-date or ends-of-ranges. Beauty Expert - founded by Hilary Andrews - is growing all the time, offering a 24-hour delivery service for the I-want-it-NOW (well, almost) brigade. Importantly (this is true of all our ‘approved’ sites), Beauty Expert features dozens of products which our Beauty Bible testers have raved about.
So: as winter draws to a close (we DO hope it’s drawing to a close), we’ve hand-picked a few seasonal must-haves, which will restore skin, body, hair (and maybe even HOPE!)…
Right now, actually, we think 10% off is pretty cheering in itself. You simply click on any of the product names, then add your chosen products to your shopping basket and enter the discount code BBX09 at the Beauty Expert checkout. It’s that easy! (For a full list of absolutely all the brands at Beauty Expert on which you can claim that 10% discount, click here.)
Nude Hibiscus Monoi, £32.50 for 200 ml, or ££29.25 to you, if you click here. Jo is enraptured by this delectable oil. You can struggle for ages to get it out of the bottle, so the best trick is to get in the bath, throw the bottle in alongside you - and the coconut oil softens, and is ready to melt into skin once you’ve patted skin with a towel. Close your eyes, and the unbelievably heavenly hibiscus scent could almost convince you that you’re in a tropical paradise. (Honest.)
Natural Magic Organic Treatment Candle Travel Kit, £39.10 (or £35.19 if you click here.) Naural Magic’s candles are pretty much the only ones we burn at our respective homes: they are based on natural waxes and essential oils, and all smell d-i-v-i-n-e. (We don’t want to infuse our homes with petrochemicals, or lead from wicks, thanks.) In this mini-travel kit, four of our favourite mood-shifters: Restore, Relax, Revitalise and Rebalance (so: something for every occasion), and each will burn for 15 hours.
Tweezerman Comedone Extractor, £6.85 (take 10% off that, and click here to find it). OK, so this scores 0/10 for glamour - but is an answer for the many readers who e-mail us about how to remove whiteheads and blackheads. This is what professionals use: cleanse and warm the skin first, and use either a looping action (to roll out mature whiteheads) or a pressing action, for blackheads. Sorry if that’s a bit gross, but it REALLY WORKS, and as with all Tweezerman creations, you can’t beat the quality.
Korres Lip Butter, £5.85, in Wild Rose. Gorgeously lip-conditioning, this is a must for handbags at this time of year: a nourishing slick of shea-butter-infused balm, with a sheer deep red tint for that bitten-lip, channelling-Brigitte-Bardot look - reminiscent of Clinique’s Black Honey, for those of you (like Jo) who were fans. (Great to find the Korres make-up range on-line easily - it did incredibly well in The Green Beauty Bible.). Click here to find it - and to get your 10% discount.
Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque, £21 (take off £2.10, if you click here). This will perk up dreary winter skin fast: a clay-based mask (but trust us: it’s not uncomfortable), which draws out impurities and brightens beautifully. Packed with antioxidants from parsley seed and rosehip seed extracts. (Not that we’re sure how relevant those are in a mask, which is washed off - but nevertheless, this mask is definitely a boon for enlivening skin at this end of winter…).
