Can you advise me what supplement to take to replace MenoHerbs 2 as I understand that this is no longer available? I am 49 years old and have not had any symptoms yet but would like to take preventive measures to help reduce hot flushes etc.
We suggest trying Sage Complex by Food Science of Vermont, take one capsule three times a day, which is available from www.victoriahealth.com,  £23.55 for 90 capsules (NB you can use your ......
Have you tried or tested the Nurture products sold by Healthspan and if so what were the results?
Yes, have tested a selection of them – and three products have done well enough to win Beauty Bible Awards, and to appear in our new book Beauty Bible Beauty Steals.  ......
I am 34 and following your recommendation I recently started taking Nurture skincare supplements. I chose the Prime Radiance version as the ingredients in them seemed to be similar to Imedeen (which I can't afford!). I also take evening primrose oil, cod liver oil and a multivitamin and mineral supplement everyday. I discovered from the Healthspan website today that the Prime Radiance range is actually recommended for more mature women so I'm wondering if I can I keep taking them or am I too young? Surely they won't do any harm? I can already see an improvement in my skin after only one month of use so I would be disappointed if I had to stop taking them now!
First of all, a pat on the back for realising that great skin needs a two-way approach, and that skin supplements have a real role to play in great-looking skin.  The ......
I'm 33 years old and I'm interested in anti-aging capsules. I've been reading a lot about Imedeen and Nourella but I just can't make up my mind which one to go for. Do either of you have any idea which would be better?
This is a subject close to our hearts! We’ve been devoted fans of Imedeen for many years and credit it with keeping our skins thicker and more line-free than most of ......
I would like to know what happened to Charles of the Ritz and Madeleine Mono companies. They used to make the most wonderful perfumes, eyeshadows and face products in the 1980s I don't suppose that there is anywhere that has some old stock…?
Both gone, alas – but not forgotten by some of us, at least!  Charles of the Ritz disappeared years ago, and Madeleine Mono – famous for dazzling eyeshadows, in particular – ......
With regard to Imedeen.. I’m hooked on the comment in Feel Fab Forever that your skin is 'thicker' thanks to this product. Increased density is what I need at 52, with usually very good but thin, sensitive skin. I already take AgeLoss, silica, hyaluronic acid, DMAE and Viridian Beauty Complex to preserve my glow, with noticeable success... (In addition to general health and menopause supplements, all on top of a pretty damn great diet rich in oils, fish etc etc. - and you should see all the external stuff!) Do you think I'd be foolish to add Imedeen to this regime?
No, we don’t - think you’d be foolish, that is!  If you can afford it, go ahead!  Imedeen Time Perfection (£37.50 for 60 capsules) works in a different way to the ......
I am 55 years old overweight (always trying to deal with that but, with not much success). I had breast cancer (seven years ago now) and a hysterectomy, as well as a bad back and arthritis (but we mustn’t let that get us down!) Like many people I am having to pull in the purse strings, but I would really like to know what vitamins and minerals I should take – and can they be combined, to save money? I am currently taking selenium, omega oils, sometimes zinc and Co-Q10. In addition, I’d like to ask about the skin over my eyes which has really sagged – any tips for that?
We are so sorry to hear about your string of problems but applaud your positive attitude.  The supplements we recommend you taking, after discussing your situation with Shabir Daya, the pharmacist ......
Are there any vitamins suitable for vegetarians/ strict vegans?
The short answer is yes to vegetarian, but very few for vegans because vitamin D is generally derived from sheep’s wool, and carotenoids (a form of vitamin A) are stabilised with ......
I have started taking the AgeLoss tablets. You both said that you take them and then have a break from them after a while. Can you tell me why you need to take a break and for how long?
Many experts recommend that any supplement should only be taken for three months followed by one month off.  This is to stop your system becoming reliant on a supplement.  We don’t ......

I recently bought most of the capsule collection from Victoria Health as recommended (I am 48). This included MenoHerbs and I am now wondering if it is okay for me to take these as, although I experience night sweats, other than that I don't yet have any other symptoms.
We certainly recommend you take them.  They contain small quantities of different estrogenic herbs and should alleviate the night sweats.  They should also help prevent other symptoms.  We really swear by ......
Could you please tell me where I can buy the Swipes Eyeglass Cleaners by Denman which I read about in You Magazine?
These little miracles of micro-fibre (shaped like mini-tongs) are available from Victoria Health at the ‘huge’ price of £2.99 (just £2.85 with your special discount).  But we warn you, one pair ......
A little while back I read on your website about a powder supplement that one of you took in the morning in either fruit juice or water. I have been looking on the Victoria Health website but can't seem to find it. Could you give me the name of it please or a link to buy it?
It’s called Fruitein Exotic Red Fruit by Natures Plus, £18.99 for 612 grams, which is about 20 servings.  Sarah mixes a scoop with natural live yogurt, a measure of Goji juice, ......
I am 47 years of age, and my hair is going very thin at the front and in my parting. I 've been to see a specialist who advised ME to take iron tablets, to improve my ferritin levels which were 24, and the preferred level for hair loss is 40. Unfortunately the iron caused severe diarrhoea. Are there any other supplements I can take, or do you know of any proven remedies to help?
The commonly prescribed iron supplements do tend to cause digestive side effects.  You could try instead taking Spatone (£6.49 for 28 sachets) or Floradix (£7.48 for 250 ml), both of which ......
I have just bought The 21st Century Beauty Bible and Feel Fab Forever - both of which are good reading. However, I am now totally confused as to what I should be buying – I can choose the brand, but need a list of purchases, i.e. skin, body and supplements. I am almost 56 years old, overweight but working on this, and have my mum’s good skin (although I know I neglect it). Please advise what I need - I can choose the brand but need a list of purchases i.e. skin, body and supplements etc.
OK, your shopping list (and the good news is it’s probably shorter than you expected): a great cleanser and a ‘miracle’ cream, as you’re over 40. Add in an anti-ageing eye ......
When taking AgeLoss capsules, would you recommend also taking vitamin pills, evening primrose etc. or is it better to use them on their own?
AgeLoss does well combined with Essential Oil Formula and All Natural Perfectly Balanced MultiNutrient, both of which feature in our Feel Fab Forever Capsule Collection. We prefer Essential Oil Formula to ......
For the last couple of months, I have noticed that only one nail has become very soft and there is a deep vertical ridge at the softest point. This nail is also much shorter - from cuticle to end - than same finger on other hand. I take Imedeen Classic and Evening Primrose Oil, and I have been rubbing Jessica Phenomenoil into offending nail – help!
Two suggestions: take a supplement of silica, which is also in our Feel Fab Forever Capsule Collection of our favourite supplements, click here for all details. And also, do wear washing ......
In the Mail on Sunday’s YOU Magazine a while back, Sarah mentioned a supplement that gave you energy and was also anti-ageing. I lost the info and wondered if you could let me have the name of the supplement and info on how to order?
Sarah did indeed mention the wonderful AgeLoss, formulated in America where they know a thing or three about turning the clock back, and which contains well-researched nutrients including a particular antioxidant ......
I'm having a real problem with hormonal spots around the chin area, due I think to recently coming off the Pill. Could you recommend any vitamins or supplements that could help rebalance me from the inside out?
We asked pharmacist Shabir Daya of natural health store Victoria Health (www.victoriahealth.com, tel. 0800 3898 195) for his recommendations: he says that the usual cause is oestrogen dominance, due to lower ......
I love your book and would like to supplement my diet with the right vitamins and minerals, however I am overwhelmed by the mass vitamin market out there. I have searched for Linseed 1000 but have not yet found anywhere that sells it. I also don't want to blow all my money on this! What do you recommend should be taken?
Linseed 1000 made by BioCare, tel. 0121 433 3727, (for info: www.biocare.co.uk), about £9.90 for 90 caps. We\'re also keen on Linusit, which you can buy in most supermarkets and health ......
