I have just bought a copy of The Green Beauty Bible and love it but I am surprised that you make no mention of Martha Hill Beauty Naturals. Martha was a pioneer in green beauty products well before her time - you should check her out!

We’re very familiar with Martha Hill and her Beauty Naturals catalogue does indeed feature a lot of natural brands.  So:  when testing for The Green Beauty Bible, we obviously also wanted to trial the Martha Hill own range.  However, on closer examination, we were very surprised to find that in many of the moisturisers, mineral oil (a petroleum derivative) was at, or near, the top of the ingredients list as a primary ingredient.  So reluctantly, the products were disqualified from that ‘green’ book.  When we update The 21st Century Beauty Bible, we’ll have to look again at the rankings to see if any of the products do well enough to be included in that more general volume, instead.  Sorry for any disillusionment…!
