I have good, but very sensitive, reactive skin. 55 years old now -- sigh... Can you recommend some good products please? I’ve tried just about everything!

Jo has legendarily sensitive skin (after using too many different free products!) so is an expert on the subject. Two particularly impressive creams that have calmed her skin down after eczema-like flare-ups are by a company called Barefoot Botanicals: Solace Deep Soothing and Cooling Moisturiser, £13.95, and SOS Intensive Skin Rescue Cream, £7.95, which can even be used on psoriasis, or cracked skin. The creams are entirely free of synthetic preservatives and fragrances, and so there are quite simply fewer ingredients likely to trigger trouble. The Weleda range is also ultra-gentle and contains only natural ingredients - Jo recommends the gentle Iris collection, within the range - but suggests avoiding the new anti-ageing Wild Rose range, if you’ve got sensitive skin. (She tried it and though the creams were lovely to use, rosehip seed oil contains vitamin A, which she’s sensitive to.)
