I'm wondering what age you should start using an anti-ageing cream. I'm currently 22 and have read that you should start in your early 20s - is that true?

We disagree. We'd suggest that you wait till 30+ to start using a specific anti-ageing product - but that before that, you focus on protecting skin against damage. (Trust us: it's much easier to prevent lines and wrinkles than it is to erase them.) The biggest favour you can do your 22-year-old skin is to shield it every day with a good SPF15 daily moisturiser, between the months of mid-April and October - and on sunny winter days. (But when it's cloudy and overcast, in northern Europe? Just use a normal moisturiser; an SPF15 is simply wasted.) And if you do go in the sun, wear big, dark glasses to protect the skin around your eyes - and preferably a big-brimmed, tightly-woven hat, as well as your SPF.
