February 14th, 2010: Night-time skincare

Q Please could you tell me should I use night cream and facial oil together or separately on different nights?

A It really depends on the state (and age) of your skin.  If you’re young with normal skin, you could economise by just using one product, either is fine.  And by the way for anyone who’s spot-prone, facial oil will not, repeat NOT, make shiny or acne-prone skin worse.  We love facial oils!   

If, however, you have dry and/or ageing skin, we recommend using both every night – (but don’t drown your skin in product, and do massage it in upwards from your bosom to your hairline).  You could also consider a serum.
